Club Opening Status for 2020 Season - Foothills Club Member UPDATE

We have been working very hard to upgrade our Club in preparation for the summer and we know everyone is eager to get outside after being quarantined for so long.

Unfortunately, although the El Paso County Health Department likes our plan for restricting usage in 2-hour blocks and the other safe usage measures we intend to implement under CDC guidelines, they did not approve the opening of our Club yet. Under Gov Polis’ order, pools are still closed, whether they are public or private.

The Governor’s order expires on May 26, 2020, which is next Tuesday. If the order is not amended, the Board will re-evaluate a timeline for opening, and file a variance with El Paso County Public Health.

While the pool portion of the Club is closed, the tennis courts remain available for members to use as they would during the off-season.

We realize not opening this weekend is a disappointment to our members but member safety and abiding by the Governor’s order are our top priorities.

As we work to meet the restrictions in this ever-changing environment, we will strive to keep you updated in a timely manner.
